lyrics

What if?
Man what if?
What if I just go now?

What if there’s a world
Where all we see is new
What if having the throne
Was something more for you
I mean
This was all I wanted when I wanted it
But when you carry it all
You’re bound to get tired of flaunting it
When I’m standing on the shore with the ocean view
Man all they see in blue
I see everything I haven’t seen in Timbuktu
I wanna take a ride
To the other side
I gotta go
Bruh I gotta know
What if I told you there was more to life than gold?
I mean
Would you hear me?
Would you cheer me on? (Would you cheer me on?)
When I leave (When I leave)
We gone make history
Are you ready to be the new King?
Musa!

Man this mystery
I mean it’s killing me
Questioned if it was meant to be
I mean initially
Of sound mind and even braver hearts
Our hunger for the unknown tore our worlds part
Griots time to break the seal of silence
Voyager King the King of Kings
Yep Your Highness
You told me Watch the Throne
I got me Yeezus on
The abdication what the Griots set their Grievance on
The Abdication
Made us King of Two Nations
The Pushing of the lines
Pushed us closer to greatness
We made it to America
Man it’s beautiful
Griots time to break the seal of silence
The Abdication
Made us King of Two Nations
The Pushing of the line
Pushed us closer to greatness
And brother I am proud of ya
I need you to know
You held it down
You held it down
You held it down

Throughout all of my travels I’ve seen a recurring theme
Of Men who have become fixated on their Aspirations of being King
But not with Abubakari
Who painted his vision and made it clear
And set out with 1,000 ships
Across what was then the final frontier
A man of unlimited resources who couldn’t ignore the voices
The open seas were calling him steadily
Conquering them should be his legacy
So never guaranteeing his return
He left a flourishing kingdom
And so began the reign of Musa
Who was chosen to lead them
But even in caravans across miles of burning sands
No trip was more important than the journey of discovering the inner man
A thousand pilgrimages can’t amount to how real it is
To step into your passion
To see the real you
The one behind the mask
And to finally understand the power you have within your own hands
After training your mind to be in tune with the divine
Knowing that your final destination won’t ask for a passport
But you must self identify
See your future
Then reach out and grab for it
